Rosemond Jolissaint, the Haitian sensation who won Haiti’s version of American Idol in 2007, when he was only 16, the youngest competitor.
T-Rosemond (Rosemond Jolissaint) . Born in 1991in Saint Michel de Lattalay, Haiti. He started singing at Church since he was 4 Years Old, When he was 10, he wanted to be a Musician and his Dade was not over look to buy him a guitar . At the age of 15, he participated in a National Competition in Haiti, and he has inspired people from all Over Haiti to Vote for him to Victory as the Youngest Contestant among tens of thousands of Participants in Haiti’s First Digicel STARS Competition. (similar to American Idol). He won both the Contest and the hearts of the people through his compelling song writing and his gentle manner
Born on March 23 1991 in St Michel de Lattaly, Haiti. The son of Antoinette Destin Jolissaint and Wilson Jolissaint. His family moved to Cap Haitian in 2005, (Haiti‘s 2nd Largest City), as they where looking for a better opportunities for their 3 Children –Wisnel, Rosemane and T-Rosemond. After moving in the city T-Rosemond had the opportunity to take Music Classes, played for churches and also joined some small Ainterterment groups. T-Rosemond walked through the streets of Cap-Haitian Everyday with his Guitar playing and singing a Hope Song for the Street Children “Ti Moun Yo”. Listening to a kid singing such a song like that, everybody could have seen there was a bright future ahead of his career. As more more people were started to hear about T-Rosemond, a fan base was building behind Little by little.
After Winning the Competition T-Rosemond Recorded his first single track “Ti Moun Yo” with Producer Fabrice Rouzier and became one of Haiti ‘s most popular song of 2007. He has traveled in many different Countries and Work with Musician from all over the World, and Now He is Living and Working and San Francisco, California where he has his home recording STUDIO and Working on many Projects.
Raised in a Peasant Life Style T-Rosemond is no stranger to Poverty and Struggle and most of his Lyrics resonate with the majority of those who are living far below the international Poverty Line.
